The next day, we drove south to Sedona from Flagstaff. On the way there, we passed thru these pine forest. It was pretty. Before arriving at Sedona, we stopped the Montezuma Castle. It was so pretty!! It was my first indian ruin experience. Then we headed to Sedona. The traffic was horrible. We were stuck in traffic for almost 1 hr. And of course Dave was going crazy. Finally the traffic gave way and we arrived at the restaurant. We had cactus fries, rattke snake, buffalo meat, and prickly pear cheescake. It was a feast!!! Love it!!! Then we walked around the town. I bought some pricky pear candy. The owner let us sampled some white chocolate layered worm. I thought it was pretty cool. Also, I bought a coaster there. Later, we went to the other part of the ruins. It was pretty but the weather was a bit too warm. Then we hit the road. On the way we stopped by at Jerome. I love Jerome. It was so pretty. All the houses and shops were on the hillside. Too bad we got there ar 5.10 and most of the shops were closed. Oh well
Later we were back on the road. We saw tumble weed!!! haha. It was so funny. Also, we pulled over and took pic ; holding the tumble weed. It was cheesy. We got back to I-80. My turn to drive again. It was pretty scary because it was so dark and it was goin downhill. We had dinner in Kingman at a chinese restaurant " House of Chan". It was good. Went to the convinient store across and bought the Arizona hot plate. I love it!!
Later we decided to go back to Chloride one more time. We didn;t go all the way back in because Dave said it was creepy. Anyway, we got off the car and looked at the stars. We can actually see Vegas from Chloride because that part of the sky was so bright. Talk about light pollution. Later we hit the road again. We finally got back to Vegas around 11. I got into a big fight with this old man that worked in one of the hotels that we looked at. Anyway, long story. .. We finally found a place to stay. It was just like 2 blks away from Strastophere. Then we walked to the Aladdin. Had margarita there. Then went back to the hotel. It was a long day ......
