Trip to the Southwest, Las Vegas

On 3 March 07, I flew to Vegas with my travel buddy, Dave. The Vegas trip was his plan. He had it all planned out. I am always the lazy one. I just followed his plan. We arrived at Vegaz pretty late. It was about 10 pm. When the plane was approaching Vegas, you can see the city covered with lights from above. It was gorgeous. On the way to our hotel, I saw Saguaro Cactus outside the airport. I was so excited!!! We took the shuttle bus to our hotel. We stayed at the Excalibur. It was neat. Later we walked outside for a little bit. It looked exactly the same as I saw on tv. All those neon lights on the street. Vegas Baby!!!

The next day, we walked around the strip. Went to MGM to see the lions. I felt bad for them. Had lunch at a fast food restaurant. Went to the Flamingo zoo. Laid down by the pool at Flamingo. The weather was prefect. It felt so peaceful. Then had dinner at the Ellis Island. It was a bit far off the strip. Food was good tho. Had shrimp and steak. It was cheap. Less than 10 bucks. Then walked back to hotel to get the Celion Dion ticket. On the way the see Celine, we stopped by at the Belagio to see the fountain show. It was gorgeous. It was playing the song "Time to Say Goodbye". Then went to watched Celine Dion at Ceaser Palace. She rocks!!! After watching her, we went to a club. It was fun. Then went back to our Hotel. It was a busy but fun day.

Next morning, we decided to take the bus instead of walking. Took the bus at Fresno to see the lights. Got there too early. No light show yet. Walked around. Saw the golden nugget. It was rather small tho. Then Dave gambled a bit. Margarita was only $1 there. It was good. Then we took a bus back to the strip. Went to Rio. There is a bar at the rooftop. It's free to get in before 7pm. We went up there. The view was gorgeous. Later wanted to go eat buffet. We missed the bus. We couldn't make it on time. I was so pissed!! Ended up eating Denny's. damn.. on well. Later we took the bus to Fresno once again. This time, we got to see the lights. It was very cool. Later we took the bus back to our hotel. Decided to gamble a bit. I lost $50 in less than 10 min. I stopped!!!
